Car history: |
A completely restored 1975 Corvette Convertible. Painted in the original Mille Miglia Red with Camel interior and top. A very attractive combination. The car has a total of 33,101 miles. The odometer was not reset during restoration. It was restored as a low mileage car.
This car is out of my personal collection - I am not a dealer, just a fanatical collector. I take great pride in my collection, all of my cars are either original, restored to show condition or waiting for a frame off restoration. I employ two full time craftsman, with over 50 years of combined experience to assure that the cars are: 1. running perfectly 2. in beautiful collection 3. properly maintained.
This Corvette has been in the collection over two years and is in excellent restored condition. It was restored to original specifications, completely numbers matching. It also has an automatic transmission.
As you may know, the 1975 Corvette Convertible is the last convertible made until production started again 1986. Of course, that is a C4 body style. At the time, collectors believed that the "75" was going to be ultimately collectible - but that took some time. Now, in 2009 - I believe that any great collection should covet a 74 or 75 Convertible
If course, all 75's are underpowered. This example is no different. It's a L48 - Automatic. But she drives - NEW. During the restoration,(I bought this Vette already restored) the owner added the 1969 side pipes. Yep, they are original Corvette side pipes. They make the car sound great - but probably add no more than 10 hp. Regardless, the sound is pure American V8 and they are worth a pretty penny if you were take them off and sell them.
The car runs perfectly - as it should having endured a proper restoration only 5 or 6 years ago. No excuses. This includes all of the mechanical components. It is a numbers matching car with air conditioning. The interior is flawless and stunning in light tan (camel) and it's leather - so the interior is the deluxe interior.
I'll guarantee the mechanical condition, as our mechanic has certified it.
There are no flaws or cracks in the leather - they look new. The body is nearly flawless. Tires are excellent also.
